Research maps take the form of A1 black and white maps drawn to a scale of 6 inches to 1 mile.
The research maps are largely based on the tithe surveys of the 1840's, where these are not available the enclosure or estate surveys of a similar date are used where possible, and include field names, land uses, boundaries and buildings each map comes with a list of land owners (where available) which can be matched to reference numbers on the maps. For tithe maps it is now also possible to check for occupiers of a particular property or family, for no extra charge.
A1 maps are priced at £10.00 each
plus £5.00 p&p per package (not per map), or £10.00 p&p per package outside the UK (rolled in a tube).
